The number of COVID-19 patients who have died at Berkshire NHS trust hospitals now stands at 469.

The latest figures released on Saturday (May 9) reveal there have been no further deaths recorded at NHS trusts which operate Berkshire hospitals over the past 24 hours.

The number of confirmed cases in Berkshire now stands at 2,204, as of 5.20pm on Friday (May Cool.

Reading has the highest number of recorded cases in the county, with 529 patients testing positive. Slough now has 428 cases - the second highest.

Elsewhere, 343 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in West Berkshire, 406 in Wokingham, 270 in Windsor and Maidenhead, and 228 in Bracknell.

Here's a breakdown of the latest figures from NHS England on Saturday (May 9) for each hospital trust:

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust – 303
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust – 153
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust - 13
An NHS England statement on Saturday (May 9) revealed a further 207 patients had died in hospitals across England after testing positive for the virus.

However, this data does not include deaths which have occurred outside of hospital, such as in care homes.

The statement said: "A further 207 people, who tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 22,971.

"Patients were aged between 37 and 100 years old. 19 of the 207 patients (aged between 60 and 95 years old) had no known underlying health condition. Their families have been informed."
