There have been four new deaths recorded in Berkshire in the last 24 hours.

The news comes as there have also been seven more cases announced in the figures.

The latest figures, released on Tuesday (May 26), reveal the number of confirmed cases in Berkshire now stands at 2,387.

Reading still has the highest number of recorded cases in the county, with 580 patients testing positive. Slough now has 450 cases.

Elsewhere, 374 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in West Berkshire, 442 in Wokingham, 288 in Windsor and Maidenhead, and 253 in Bracknell.

Below we have provided a breakdown of the deaths reported by the three hospital trusts operating in Berkshire.

They are Frimley Health, Royal Berkshire and Berkshire Healthcare trusts.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust – 337 (increase of four deaths)
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust – 172 (no new deaths)
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust - 17 (no new death)
It is important to note that some of Berkshire's NHS trusts operate hospitals outside of the county, for example Frimley Park Hospital, which is in Surrey.

This means it is difficult to give an accurate total of the number of deaths in Berkshire alone.
