There have been no new deaths at the hospitals operating in Berkshire as of Sunday afternoon, but the cases remain a slow increase.

The news comes as another 113 people have died in all settings in the UK, taking the total deaths to 38,489.


The total number of positive cases on Sunday across the county is 1,936.

As of 9am on Sunday, May 31, there have been 4,285,738 tests, with 115,725 tests on 30 May.

As of today, Reading still has the highest number of cases in Berkshire, with 586 patients testing positive.

Slough is in second place with 453 cases.

In other parts of the county, 379 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in West Berkshire, 446 in Wokingham, 292 in Windsor and Maidenhead, and 256 in Bracknell.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust  – 341 (no new deaths reported)
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust  – 174 (no new deaths)
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust  - 18 (no new death reported)
