We are reminding residents that if you have trees, hedges or foliage on your property which overhang or encroach on footpaths or roads, make sure to cut it back regularly to create a safer and more accessible environment for the community.

In particular please look out for foliage obstructing public footways, roads, streetlights and road signs. Care should be taken to avoid damaging or destroying the nests of wild birds while they are either being built or used.

If you need any advice on trees covered by Tree Preservation orders you can contact the Royal Borough Tree Protection team on 01628 683800 or  trees@rbwm.gov.uk

You can report overhanging vegetation to us online here. https://www3.rbwm.gov.uk/info/201032/report_it/1315/report_a_problem_with_overhanging_trees_and_shrubs
