Another 15 people in Berkshire have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the past two days, according to the latest data from Public Health England released today (August 14).

A daily update was unavailable on Thursday for the second time in a week, again due to what the Government website said were "technical difficulties".

Berkshire's total number of positive tests now stands at 3,484.

Slough saw the biggest increase in cases, with six new infections confirmed in the past two days, while Reading, and Windsor and Maidenhead have another three.

Two new infections were recorded in Bracknell and one new case in West Berkshire.

Across the UK, another 11 people are reported to have died with Covid-19 today and the death toll now stands at 41,358.

This figure has been reduced by around 5,000 this week after the government changed the way it records deaths.

They are now measured across the UK as deaths that occurred within 28 days of the first laboratory-confirmed positive COVID test.

There were 1,441 new cases today, bringing the total to 316,367.

This is how they break down of cases for each area of Berkshire:

Reading : 820 cases (increase of three)
Slough : 721 cases (increase of six)
Wokingham : 613 cases (no change)
West Berkshire : 501 cases (increase of one)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 435 cases (increase of three)
Bracknell Forest : 394 cases (increase of two)

The total number of death remains unchanged at 572 across Berkshire NHS trusts, as detailed below:

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust: 364
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust: 188
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust: 20
Fresh coronavirus laws have been published which allow casinos, indoor skating rinks, indoor play areas, bowling alleys, conference centres and exhibition halls to open in England from Saturday.

The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No. 2) (England) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2020 were signed off on Friday by health minister Edward Argar.
