Thames Valley Police will begin a campaign next week to educate the public about county drug lines and exploitation with a view to inform our residents and disrupt operations such as this.
County lines is the name given to drug dealing where organised criminal groups use phone lines to move and supply drugs, usually from cities into smaller towns and rural areas.
This type of drug dealing requires exploitation of the vulnerable, including children and those with mental health or addiction problems.
Tackling county lines and the exploitation of young people and vulnerable adults is a priority for Thames Valley Police.
Local activities taking place will include; community engagement, hot spot patrols and drug / knife sweeps – these activities will vary across areas.
