RIVERSIDE & BELMONT:
22/10 Thursday 11 p.m. Lassels Gardens. A witness phoned through a report to the police of a man walking along the road trying car door handles. He was also walking up and down driveways shining a torch. The police attended immediately and carried out an area search. They located a man who matched the description given in Ray Park Avenue. He was arrested on suspicion of Vehicle Interference. Ref. No: 43200338445. Our grateful thanks to that concerned resident. It probably saved lots of other people from being a victim of crime. If you live in that area - or in fact anywhere - and have video doorbell / CCTV footage, of anyone walking along trying car door handles, or on your driveway acting in a suspicious manner - even if no crime is committed - please forward it to the SR email above, quoting the reference number ! I hope everyone is as vigilant and willing to actually make the call ! As you can see it can be a really good outcome.
