Hi
Apologies for the caps but I really need to get peoples attention to these scammers in our village.
Whirlybird owe me over 7k in back rent and have treated both myself and my tenants with utter contempt. I raised a complaint with the Property Ombudsman earlier in the year and they have found in my favor and awarded me compensation. Chris (of Whirlybird) obviously has not paid.
In addition to not paying rent, they illegally registered the tenants deposit in THEIR name.
The registered directors of the company are:
Chris Parry
Christine Shuttle
Please, avoid them at all costs.
Feel free to pm me if you want further details about the case with the Ombudsman - I am making it my mission to have these people struck off.

That sounds terrible. Did it happen around this area? Is there nothing you can do about them illegally putting the deposit in their name?

The Property Ombudsman are basically toothless and have admitted as much themselves.
They have instructed Whirlybird to pay me the rent owning plus 500 GBP for 'distress'. Chris Parry has no intention of paying me my money so I am making it my business to ensure that the village is aware of their underhand and illegal tactics.

There was another company Tile ‘n Style in the High Street that did a dirty on a lot of people, taking the money then doing a runner. He was called Chris too but I don’t think he was Chris Parry, I think it was Chris Price.

How about trying the Compliance Department in RBWM?
If there is such a department....
Surely RBWM, within whose boundaries this leech operates, ought to be consulted/involved ?
I take it the police did not want to know ...
Sadly, these are reasons why leeches like Parry continue to fleece genuine residents ... and get away with it.

Since my last post the Ombudsman informed me that Chris Parry and Whirlybird had requested to re-pay in installments. I have no problem with that but the deadline to submit their plans expired yesterday. Of course, they did not submit any plans.
And Christine Shuttle has removed herself as Director.
Hmmmmm.
Given this whole debacle I will be requesting that the Ombudsman strike them off so they will not be able to trade anymore.
