MORE than 140 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Berkshire in the past 24 hours, according to latest figures.
Public Health England has recorded 150 lab-confirmed cases in the past 24 hours in areas including Reading, Bracknell, Wokingham, West Berkshire, Slough and Windsor and Maidenhead.
These figures, correct as of 5.30pm on Wednesday, November 18, bring the county's lab-confirmed positive Covid-19 tests total to 11,947 according to Public Health England.
The local breakdown for the past 24 hours as follows:
Reading - 27 cases, 2,301 total
West Berkshire - 18 cases, 1,477 total
Bracknell - 10 cases, 1,272 total
Wokingham - 19 cases, 1,789 total
Slough - 56 cases, 3,033 total
Windsor & Maidenhead - 20 cases, 2,075 total
The country is about half way through the second lockdown now, as figures are continuing to rise.
The local seven-day rate of infection is as follows:
Reading - 153.9
West Berkshire - 127.5
Bracknell Forest - 127.3
Wokingham - 151.9
Slough - 360.4
Windsor and Maidenhead - 196.1
There have now been 1,430,341 cases of Covid-19 across the UK – as of Wednesday, November 18 at 5.30pm.
The total number of deaths - those with Covid-19 listed on the death certificate - across the UK has now reached 63,873.
