Your views will make a difference for Cookham's future
Cookham Parish Council is currently consulting on the Cookham Neighbourhood Plan. The Plan offers everyone in the parish the chance to have a say in how we want our village to develop.
Cookham is losing its local wildlife habitats. Our countryside is being degraded and we are losing biodiversity. The RBWM Council has declared an Environment and Climate Emergency as part of Britain's strategy to address this.
The Neighbourhood Plan is an opportunity for us to protect local habitats, save our local wildlife and ensure sustainable future development that minimises the impact on climate change and our environment.

WildCookham is part of the Cookham Neighbourhood Working Party along with Parish Councillors and two other local community groups. We are now calling on you to express your views.
We are working hard to ensure that key policies are included in the Plan to address climate change and protect Cookham's local wildlife. Areas we are working on include:
Biodiversity
Protected green space
Green corridors
Trees
Gardens
Flooding
Gaps between villages
Light pollution
Other topics on the agenda are sustainability and renewable energy.
And remember that the Plan covers the period to 2035, by which time many of the forecast results of climate change may already be changing the way we lead our lives and view our priorities.
