Role Description

Rector’s Assistant and Parish Administrator

The Person​​

1. A person who is honest, reliable, trustworthy and efficient.
2. Good with people and a clear and confident communicator.
3. Excellent IT skills – especially with Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn new task. Creating publicity for and updating social media and newsletter
4. Available to work at least 4 hours per week – within a flexible working pattern Able to work from home via internet connection, and to meet weekly at the Rectory.
5. Of Christian faith, but not necessarily member of an Anglican church.
The role

• Covering queries from the congregations and other external sources
• Processing email and correspondence and responding as necessary
• Organising, writing and circulating agendas, minutes and meeting notes
• Keeping record of those to be invited to the service of light and other services
• Other administrative tasks as required
Working arrangements, hours and conditions

• Reporting to Rector, accountable with her to PCC
• Flexible hours (envisaged at 4 hours per week), mainly working from home
