MORE than 100 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Berkshire in the last 24 hours.
Public Health England has recorded 108 new lab-confirmed cases in the past 24 hours, in areas including Reading, Bracknell, Wokingham, West Berkshire, Slough and Windsor and Maidenhead.
Theses figures, correct as of Friday, June 4, at 4pm, bring the latest total for the county to 58,137.
The local breakdown for the past 24 hours as follows:
Bracknell Forest - 20 cases, 7,263 total
Wokingham - 34 cases, 8,526 total
Reading - 31 cases, 11,304 total
West Berkshire - 10 cases, 6,592 total
Windsor and Maidenhead - 1 case, 8,607 total
Slough - 12 cases, 15,845 total
A total of 4,506,018 people in the UK have tested positive for Covid-19.
The latest seven-day rate per 100,000 people locally are as follows:
Bracknell Forest - 66.1
Wokingham - 60.2
Reading - 92.7
West Berkshire - 28.4
Slough - 69.5
Windsor and Maidenhead - 15.2

The Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine has been approved for use for 12 to 15-year-olds, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has announced.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has approved the use of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine in 12 to 15-year-olds.
The MHRA said the decision follows a “rigorous review” of safety and effectiveness in that age group.
