Cows in the Pony Field by the Nursery School

Following the recent purchase of the Pony Field by Copas Farms cows are now grazing in it. The Society welcomes this use which retains the pastoral scene so essential to the character of Cookham for residents, and greets visitors arriving from Maidenhead Road.
In 2016 the Society fought a planning application to develop this site and the application was refused at appeal. We have also promoted this site, as part of the larger Poundfield area, for designation as LGS (Local Green Space) in the BLP (Borough Local Plan). The Pony Field is already part of the Conservation Area, but LGS would give it a substantial extra degree of protection from development."
