Almost 520 new Covid-19 cases were recorded across Berkshire in the latest update.

There were a further 519 positive tests for the pandemic illness in the 24 hours to 9am today (Monday, October 4) with Wokingham seeing the biggest rise of 126.

Bracknell Forest saw the smallest number of new cases, with 59.

No new coronavirus-related deaths were recorded in Berkshire today.

However, the Government warned that one of its sources of data for the number of people that have died within 28 days of a positive death had been delayed.

This means today's figures may be lower than the true number. The delayed figures will be included in the number published tomorrow (Tuesday, October 5).

The Government said a further 33 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Monday, bringing the UK total to 136,986.

As of 9am on Monday, there had been a further 35,077 lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases in the UK, the Government said.

Data up to October 3 shows that of the 93,948,903 Covid jabs given in the UK, 48,956,859 were first doses.

Some 44,992,044 were second doses.

Here are the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people in Berkshire for the week ending September 29:
