The Borough is keen to hear from residents regarding a proposed highway improvement scheme in Maidenhead Road, Cookham in the vicinity of Cannondown railway bridge.

The proposals have been informed by meetings with ward councillors, Cookham Parish Council, and residents, and includes:

Widening of the footway under the railway bridge.
A build out to the north of the bridge requiring southbound vehicles to give way to northbound vehicles in advance of the current priority system at the bridge. A footway extension and accessible dropped kerbs are also proposed at the build out.
