REGULARLY STOLEN – you must keep the fob in a Faraday pouch.
Keyless fobs, emit a signal continuously – hence you can walk up to your car, it will open and start. That signal is no longer copied by thieves. The thieves use a ‘Relay Booster’ device that boosts the signal from anywhere in the house to the car – which then opens and starts, to be driven away. It only takes seconds.
The tracker system built into the car, is wired to the small aileron on the roof at the rear. The thieves slice through the upholstery in the roof and cut the wire, making the car disappear from tracking systems. If we do recover the car, the interior is severely damaged.

FINALLY: YET ANOTHER SEXTORTION !
A man in his 30s was on a dating website, when he was contacted by an attractive young woman. After talking for a while, she suggested they perform various intimate acts. As soon this was done, the victim started to receive demands for 1,500 Euros, or they would send the footage to everyone in his personal address book. He has now blocked all contact with that site and his email accounts.

New resident parking discount scheme goes live
Discounted parking has arrived for residents in the Royal Borough as the council’s exciting new scheme goes live from today (Monday 4 April) in six popular car parks. If you’re not already in the scheme, you can still apply now, completely free of charge, and join the thousands already set to save on parking.
You can apply online for your free, virtual permits, offering one hour’s free parking at Alma Road and Alexandra Gardens in Windsor, Grove Road and West Street in Maidenhead, Horton Road in Datchet, and Meadow Lane in Eton. Since the scheme opened for applications on 14 February, the council has received and approved more than 4,600 applications from residents gearing up to drive down their parking costs.
If you’ve already joined the scheme, from today you can start using your discounted sessions in your selected car parks, which can be activated either through the RingGo app or via landline or mobile phone using the automated voice service. Simply follow the instructions on the side of the car parking machines.

4/4 Monday 0.50 a.m. St. Chads Road. Burglary. The owners were at home, when their dog started to bark. Someone had been into the back, and the kitchen and was outside. They checked the CCTV. The camera at the front of the house showed two figures in black approach the property and disappear down the side. This provides access to the side gate to the rear garden, which was only secured by a latch. The offenders then made off though the garden. When the CCTV was further checked the offenders can be seen attempting to fit false number plates to the car – a high performance BMW X3 - on the drive in the hope of stealing it. The car was not stolen. The owners keep the key fob in a Faraday Pouch, so the key fob could not be copied, so they possibly broke it to find the fob. Ref. No: 43220144184
