A VERY GOOD 48 HOURS – ONLY ONE ‘THEFT FROM A CAR’ TO REPORT.

NO BURGLARIES

FIRST: A possible attempted Courier Fraud

The police report is really unclear.  A friend of the potential aggrieved, has phoned the police to say that he received a phone call from someone saying there had been unauthorised use of his debit card and a courier will be sent to collect it.  Little more is known at this time, as the aggrieved is very worried and very confused.

We need to spread the warning further to protect vulnerable residents.

If anyone gets a phone call about unauthorised use of a debit card from the police – PUT THE PHONE DOWN.

NEXT:  Are you interested in purchasing a video doorbell ?  If so, Valerie Pike from the Windsor NHW Association has been working with a volunteer video doorbell guru, to put together an advice website.  It is very useful and will answer most of your questions.  If you need additional advice, email me and I will forward it onto him.

GETTING STARTED:-

NEXT:  We are still offering FREE home security surveys.  If you are uncertain about your security, as we start our ‘Summer Burglary Campaign’, this can be very reassuring.  The aim is to look at your lifestyle and make appropriate suggestions.  The aim is never to make you a prisoner in your own home with bars on the windows etc.  Most of us now do have alarms and adequate security on our front doors and windows.  Opportunist thieves, look for us to have made a mistake and left a window open, easy access to the rear of a property and vulnerable patio doors / kitchen windows, rocks and garden ornaments easily available to throw through windows.

There is a dedicate email inbox for requests:

homesecuritysurveyrequests@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk

A PCSO from your appropriate neighbourhood, will then get back to you to make a suitable appointment.
